With such a lively food scene, great cafés everywhere around, and a whole bar culture to explore, sometimes our guests can feel quite spoilt for choice when they set off to get a taste of our Amsterdam neighbourhoods.
Luckily, our Yays Concierges always come to their rescue! From their knowledge of our neighbourhoods, we created the Yays Bikes & Bites Neighbourhood Experience, a tasting tour on bikes that will please foodies and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
The Bikes & Bites package includes:
You can purchase your Bikes & Bites tour on our website now. Extra persons can be added to the tour for €35 per person.

Amsterdam East offers a lot of treasures to discover off the beaten tourist tracks, especially with a bike to power up your exploration.
This Summer, we invite all our guests staying in Amsterdam East, to purchase an add-on package to augment their stay and take their neighbourhood experience to a higher level of delight!
Our Bikes & Bites tour combines sightseeing with bites and drinks. It is self-guided, in compliance with our Covid-19 safety policies (find out more here), and gives you all the freedom to choose your own pace and timing. We'll stock you up with info and maps, and off you'll go on your Yays bike!
Don't forget to take your own earphones, as the experience includes an audio tour of the Cruquius Island!
Here is an outline of route and stops:
Museum Perron Oost
The first stop is a quick but intense one. Perron Oost is a one-room museum built on a dismissed train platform. You won't need to worry about social distancing, as this tiny museum has always admitted only one visitor at a time!
Our friendly neighbours from Instock will be waiting for you with a picnic basket with a delicious selection of their products from the "Support Your Locals" initiative, in support of small independent businesses.
If you thought you know everything about cocoa and chocolate, we respectfully challenge you! We bet our socks you'll learn something new at this two-rooms museum that smells like heaven.
If you came to Amsterdam East, you can't leave without exploring its surprising modern architecture. This is the place.
Kanis en Meiland 3.0
If the Pythonbrug has inspired you, you'll be happy to continue your contemplation of the architectural landscape over a cup of coffee on the lovely terrace of Kanis en Meiland 3.0, with a stunning view over the waters and closeby The Yays Crane Apartment).
Time to bite that picnic from Instock! Flevopark is the perfect setting, so stop your bike by a tree and enjoy outdoor dining by the pond!
Majesteit Taart and Javastraat
A short bike ride to better deserve your dessert, and you're ready for the sweetest stop in the whole tour: Majesteit Taart will delight you with their fine patisserie. And if you still have time to hang out on the lively Javastraat, we're sure you'll find more than one good excuse for some shopping.
No food tour in Amsterdam is complete without beer and bitterballen ...No idea what those are? ...We say it's better to bite what words can't describe!
Back to start!
We know that going back to return your bikes after such an intense tour might be a bummer, so we prepared a surprise for you to enjoy in your apartment.
