Yay! It is almost the 11th of September already!
We will be participating in the Amsterdam City Swim to help raise awareness and to raise money for the research in ALS.
ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a fatal progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. In the Netherlands only 1500 persons suffer from this disease. Each year 500 new patients are diagnosed with ALS and 500 people die from the consequences of this disease.
The cause of ALS is still unknown, and a cure is not available. With an average life expectancy from 3 to 5 years after diagnosis, there is no hope for the future for these 1500 patients. There is only one way to find a cure against ALS: scientific research.
To continue the scientific research to find a cure against ALS we have the goal to raise as much money as possible with Team Yays.
So please support me and my team and Donate Now via the website below!
