Enjoy the safety to smile!

At Yays, we are keeping things safe for you to enjoy your stay with peace of mind, and set off to unlock the neighbourhood with a smile on your face!
Check out what we are doing to keep our guests and staff members safe against Covid-19.

Increased hygiene

We improved our hygiene standards by introducing:

  • Hand hygiene and Covid-19 prevention training for all staff
  • Disinfecting stations available at all locations
  • Stricter cleaning protocols for the housekeeping staff
  • Sanitising of all high-touch surfaces every few hours.

Low-touch measures

We changed our procedures to make our operations low-touch and keep a safe distance at all times. Some of the low-touch measures enforced at our locations include:

  • Social distancing of at least 1,5m/6ft
  • Contactless check-in and check-out
  • Use of lifts limited to travellers belonging to the same party.

Safe bike rental

We want our guests to feel at home in our neighbourhoods around Europe, and sometimes there is no better way to do that than by jumping on a Yays bike (we are thinking Amsterdam, here)!

Where bike-rental service is available, Yays bikes are disinfected after each use. This way, you can enjoy unlocking the neighbourhood the local way, worry-free!

Yays face masks

The use of face masks - together with social distancing, coughing and sneezing etiquette, and handwashing - can prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 disease.
While disposable medical grade face masks should be reserved for healthcare workers, non-medical face masks can help protect the rest of the population.

Yays encourages the use of face masks by providing complimentary Yays masks to all guests booking their stays of 2 or more nights via Yays.com. The masks are also on sale at every Yays location.

The Yays face mask is washable and reusable, so you can stay safe while being mindful of the environment, and take it back home to keep secretly smiling in all safety well after your stay. Yays face masks come with clear instructions for use and maintenance.

For further info about face masks, we recommend visiting the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) website.

Note: this page is constantly updated to include current information about the Yays safety protocols, as they vary following the Covid-19 developments.
